Airi Murakami transformed herself from basketball player to rugby player then won national caps. Aya Noguchi once played in the Swedish professional football league. Tsuyoshi Hirao, renowned critical voice of contemporary sport, had a good career at Kobelco Kobe Steerers and won several national caps as well. Yosri Razgui is a skilfull ethnographer on Vissel Kobe supporters. With their attendance, Kobe, one of birth places of modern sporting activities in Japan, becomes where sport gets seriously scrutinised.
