Message to prospective participants from abroad

Dear friends of Cultural Typhoon,

Thank you for your warm support for Cultural Typhoon 2011.

This is to explain to you the current situation around our project. We, the Cultural Typhoon 2011 Committee, extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and the following radioactive contamination. For them to restore their daily lives, the Cultural Typhoon Committee members have been active to organize charity events and relief-sending in Kobe and Tokyo respectively since the disaster took place. We would like to make it clear that although radioactivity from the nuclear power plants in Fukushima Prefecture and aftershocks are unpredictable, Kobe is quite far away from Fukushima, and safe and calm at the moment. Therefore, we make sure to our friends that Cultural Typhoon 2011 is going to be held as planned. However, the situation is volatile. So we promise our friends in overseas countries that we continuously update information at all times. It would therefore be helpful if you regularly visit our website and check out the on-going situation.

Thank you for your kind cooperation.

Hiroki Ogasawara
Chief Organiser
On behalf of the Organising Committee of Cultural Typhoon 2011 Kobe
